The Built Environs Board meets regularly to determine and assess the strategic direction of the company and to ensure the business’s operational capacity can meet these strategic needs.
Each Board member brings a particular set of skills and experiences for the group to draw on.
Michael (Mick) O’Connor (Chairman) co-founded Built Environs and has a deep understanding of all operational aspects. Specialties include procurement and ongoing monitoring of projects, risk assessments and client relationships.
Jim Frith (Managing Director) has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, mostly on significant engineering projects. Jim enjoys working with clients to understand their unique project drivers, and then overseeing their successful delivery.
Neil Cain is General Manager Strategic Projects for McConnell Dowell Constructors. With over 30 years of engineering construction management experience, Neil secures large and complex engineering projects, as well as manage client and joint venture partner relationships.
Bill Gill is a former joint Managing Director of Built Environs. Bill is a qualified mechanical engineer with over 25 years in the malting industry. Specialties include strategic planning, organisational structure, mergers and integration and finance systems.
Charles Hall is General Manager - Civil and Marine for McConnell Dowell Constructors. Charles has been with McConnell Dowell since 1981 and has particular expertise in the fields of heavy engineering, power generation, water/waste water and water storage and marine infrastructure.
Dale Morrison has been CFO of the McConnell Dowell Group since 2002, overseeing impressive financial and geographical growth. Dale’s presence on the Built Environs Board ensures a strong financial backbone to the company’s growth strategy.
David Robinson is CEO of the McConnell Dowell Group, Built Environs's majority shareholder. David's career at McConnell Dowell spans over 30 years. He has extensive Australian and international experience in construction.
