Mentoring programme

The Built Environs mentoring programme is run by our Human Resources department and you need to be a Built Environs employee to participate.

 

Mentoring support is provided to apprentices, graduates and participants in our professional development programme.

 

When you’re in the programme, you’ll sit down with your mentor to discuss your goals and develop strategies to reach them.

 

You’ll then meet with your mentor regularly every four to six weeks to track your progress.

 

You’re also free to bring up issues that you’re encountering at work – whether technical or professional or personal – and work through them. It’s very rare that a mentor hasn’t been through the same experiences themselves – and you get to benefit!

 

At the end of the programme, you each participate in separate debriefing forums to discuss the outcomes and how you’d like to proceed from there.

 

The programme tends to run for 12 months, although many choose to continue the professional relationship for longer.
