Corporate responsibility

Built Environs aims to be a responsible corporate citizen by returning value to the various communities within which the business operates, whether via a direct financial contribution (through donation or sponsorship), a donation in kind, or through the volunteered time and expertise of our staff.

As a member of the local Hutt Street business community, Built Environs provides ongoing support to the Hutt Street Shelter (for homeless people) through corporate and personal participation in a number of programmes.

As a member of the Adelaide business community, Built Environs, in partnership with parent company McConnell Dowell, sponsors the Salvation Army’s Muggy's Youth Accommodation Service, a residential care and outreach programme for young people. Built Environs and McConnell Dowell also sponsor the Salvation Army Soup Van service in the Adelaide CBD.

At the project or site level, our construction teams have supported a number of
community-based initiatives and local causes, as well as ‘bigger picture’ environmental and health causes.
