Increasing mental health inpatient and outpatient services at Modbury Hospital

The multi-level expansion works on the south side of the Modbury Hospital Main Tower site involves the creation of a single 44-bed purpose-built facility to accommodate Rehabilitation Mental Health and Older Persons Mental Health consumers.

The Modbury Hospital Mental Health Precinct will deliver a 24-bed Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit, a 20-bed Older Persons’ Mental Health Unit, and Modbury Cancer Centre with an elevated link to the existing hospital and a multi-storey carpark.

Prior to the main works commencing an early works package consisting of infrastructure services relocations including cooling towers, bulk oxygen tank and diesel tank will be undertaken.

With multiple construction fronts and staged handovers, the Modbury Hospital Mental Health Precinct is expected to be complete end of 2025.
