Masters Hardware Store Bibra Lake, WA
Duration: June 2011 to February 2012
Value: $16 million
Contract type: Novated Design and Construction
Summary: Built Environs completed the design and construction of a 12,500 m2 hardware and whitegoods store in the Perth suburb of Bibra Lake for Masters Home Improvement.
Development of the warehouse included a trade area, garden shop, office and amenities, an expansive car park and external landscaping.
Among the project challenges was the pouring and finishing of 4,500 m2 of concrete slabs of such a high quality that only a few specialist suppliers and layers were capable of completing the work.
The construction effort included a Kingspan-clad internal walling system for increased energy efficiency, and certified fire control systems to ensure early detection and foam suppression.
Built Environs completed the Bibra Lake warehouse while constructing the Forrestdale store for the same hardware chain in suburban Perth.
