Perth Airport Combined Logistics Facility and Terminal 1 Forward Works, WA
Duration: October 2012 to December 2013
Value: $13 million
Contract type: Construct Only
Summary: Built Environs constructed the facilities to service international and intrastate terminals at Perth Airport, including storage and waste amenities and a service yard with underground and civil works.
The project scope also included underground services and structural foundation works to allow for the expansion of an international terminal.
Specifically, to service Perth Airport Terminal 1 (international) and the currently-under-construction Terminal WA (intrastate), Built Environs delivered:
- Terminal storage and waste compactor facilities.
- A service yard, including associated underground services and civil works, which will also service the airport’s cogeneration (energy efficiency) buildings.
- Underground services, structural foundation and civil works associated with the Terminal 1 Domestic Pier and International Departures Expansion, a project we are currently delivering.
The project team managed the challenges of working in an operating airport (including landside and airside construction) and working in proximity to several other construction works-in-progress at Perth’s major airport.
