  • Puhinui Station Upgrade Project Milestone

    The first major milestone was reached on the Puhinui Station Upgrade recently with the successful deconstruction of the central station ramp during a rail closure recently. The joint venture between McConnell Dowell and Built Environs has developed an early works strategy for the Puhinui Train Station Upgrade project with safety at the core of the construction. This is imperative as a large portion of work needs to be carried out over the live tracks and around the electrified lines in the rail corridor.


  • Built Environs Awarded Adelaide Oval Hotel Project

    Built Environs are pleased to announce the award of a design and construction contract for the Adelaide Oval Hotel by the Adelaide Oval.

    The hotel will be built on two elevated pods that follow the external curves of the eastern façade of the stadium and therefore will not encroach on the parklands or the plaza. None of the stadium’s existing access/egress, including the plaza and atrium entry, are affected by the development and neither is the seating bowl.


  • Bringing together world class expertise for the Puhinui Interchange

    Built Environs are pleased to announce that a McConnell Dowell and Built Environs joint venture has been awarded the Early Contractor Engagement (ECI) contract for the Puhinui Station Interchange.

    The Puhinui Interchange is a key component of the Southwest Gateway, a programme aimed at enhancing public transport connectivity between Auckland Airport and the CBD. It is also a catalyst for wider bus and rail connections to enable more sustainable transport modes.
