2011 MBA SA awards for Built Environs SA-based national commercial, industrial and institutional building company Built Environs has received two prestigious Master Builders Association (MBA) Building Excellence Awards at a black tie event at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Friday 19 August 2011.

MBA Building Excellence Awards are judged by building industry experts according to very strict criteria, with a special emphasis on the quality of the processes that have been followed as well as the quality of the finished product.

The Adelaide Oval Western Grandstand Redevelopment won an MBA Building Excellence Award in the landmark project category – a firm endorsement of the quality of the work managed by the Built Environs team, and the consultants and many subcontractors and trades who contributed.

The GP Plus Health Care Centre Elizabeth won an MBA Building Excellence Award in the $10 million – $20 million commercial building category. Delivering this project on budget, on time and to award-winning standards has helped the SA government meet community health needs in Adelaide’s northern suburbs.

“A ‘landmark project’ MBA award for the Adelaide Oval Western Grandstand follows the two Australian Institute of Building awards the team received back in May,” said Built Environs Managing Director Jim Frith.

“We’re particularly pleased that our ability to manage $100 million-plus projects to world-class quality standards is being recognised.”

“With the GP Plus Health Care Centre Elizabeth winning an MBA award in the back of its own success at the AIB awards in May, we’re clearly able to demonstrate high quality results for government end-users in the health sector,” added Frith.

Both projects are now nominated for the national MBA awards in November.
