Summary: Built Environs redeveloped the Ocean Keys Shopping Centre in the Perth suburb of Clarkson. With a total site footprint of 44,000m2, the project included the construction of a new Target store, 48 new specialty shops, a food court, multi-level car park and 10 residential apartments.
Built Environs also reconfigured and refurbished existing malls and 37 specialty shops within the centre, while delivering additions to major road intersections and roadways and landscaping works to the entire site.
The Built Environs project team worked within a tight procurement timeline and focused on managing the works across multiple stages to prevent trade disruption for existing retailers and minimise inconvenience to centre patrons. The new and improved Ocean Keys Shopping Centre is now 65 per cent larger with a total floor space of more than 37,000m2, helping the customer to meet its mission of creating inspiring shopping centre experiences.
